I cant figure out what he does at 2:25

It look like hes only using one stick with the left in the snare but it dosent sound like it...

Kurt, it looks to me like he's doind VERY fast doubles (16th's) with his right hand and bass drum: RH RH RF RF . But moving his hand from the snare to the floor tom. He get's the fast doubles on his BD by sliding his foot forward so he's effectively getting two bass drum hits for one forward motion.

I love this vid, it's definitely one of my favs... hope this helps.

I have the latest free versions of WMP [awa QT & divx], but for the life of me i can't understand why I can't play vids w the "newer" label "Microsoft video" [w an extension of ".avi," that i used to be able to play w no prob at one time, long ago in a galaxy fah-so-la-tido-jackson away], w/out seeing a "missing unknown component" error box... This is a Major Bummar since i really dig Baron, since my old jazz teacher [yes, "Real Jazz" ;-)] turned me on to him back in the early/mid 80s. Anyone have bassist Marc Johnson's '98 disc "Sound of Summer Running" w BFrisell & PMetheny on gtr, & JB on kit? Some nice stuff on there.

Is this the clip I posted some months ago...looks like it.

I don't have it anymore since I only kept the whole video, but if thats really the same clip, its weird you have problems with it. It was taken from an VCD-compliant .mpg and edited down and converted to DIVX .avi with Dr. Divx (Can't remember what version but most likely divx 5.x)

Yeah just checked its a basic video :

Video: DivX 5 480x352 29.97fps
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz stereo 64Kbps.

Maybe your download have not completed successfully (My download stopped halfway twice) and your player is not responding well trying to play the incomplete file ?

If theres interest for the whole show (Great early performance of Masade), I could reseed on Dime.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">According to the post above, it's DivX encoded. You need to load up a DivX codec for WMP (or use a standalone DivX player).

Yeah like Moosetication said, you need DIVX codec installed.

Kurt R : I'll seed it on Dime, but I wont be able to seed very long, cant pay unlimited bandwidth this month so Im very restricted.

Also, I'll post some various Masada and Masada String Trio tracks on Rapidshare or something.
